Our Sunday School service follows a curriculum that has been written and developed by Hegumen Father Rueiss Awad under the guidance, support and recommendation of his Holiness, the late Pope Shenouda III. It was the first curriculum of its kind in the lands of immigration, and so it was written to cover all grades starting from the Angels’ class through to the University level. The curriculum has been fine tuned and updated throughout the years to reflect the topics and issues which are both critical and relevant in helping to develop and strengthen the students’ faith in these modern times. The lessons feature Biblical and theological references, as well as oral traditions and stories such as those taken from the early church fathers. It also leans heavily on the writings of His Holiness, the late Pope Shenouda III. Finally many lessons are accompanied by activities and songs to encourage engagement with the lessons in a fun and interactive way.
